Mystikal Released From Jail
INFORMATION BY VIBE.COM

After serving six years in a Louisiana prison, former No Limit star Mystikal has now been released from jail.

Mystikal (born Michael Tyler) was convicted January 15, 2004 for sexual battery, after being charged in 2002 for forcing his former beautician to perform oral sex on him and two bodyguards at his apartment in Baton Rouge. The rapper was also charged with extortion, but charges were later dropped. He reportedly paid the victim $350,000 due to a civil suit.

The rapper was sent to Louisiana's Elayn Hunt Correctional Center, a maximum-security prison, where he was denied parole in 2008.

In his first interview after being released, the former rap star called into New Orleans’ Q93 FM.

“Man it’s been a long time!” Mystikal says, adding that he kept his sanity in prison because of his religious faith. “It had to be God,” he said. “I couldn’t have done that. Going through it? It was tough. He had His arms wrapped around me tight.”
